How long will it take for my case to arrive?
Generally, it takes between 2 and 4 business days, with an average of 2.5 days from the time the item is shipped. We always ship within 24 business hours.
Most orders placed before noon (EST) will be shipped the same day. Please note that these are just estimates and your package may take significantly longer to arrive.
How can I track my package?
What kind of packaging will my case arrive in? Is it eco-friendly?
Our packaging is intentionally minimalist to cut down on unnecessary waste. The actual case will usually arrive in a recyclable cardboard packaging that is made from recycled product. Sometimes, we may ship your product in a bioplastic, clear bag. It looks like a traditional poly bag, but is made from plant materials. Most of the time; however, it will be cardboard.
Your case with packaging will be shipped inside a recyclable paper mailer. You may either re-use the mailer (best option) or recycle it. For larger orders, the shipment will arrive in a box. Again, the best option is to reuse, but you can also recycle it.
Any stickers on packaging should be peeled off before composting. We are required by California law to put on a suffocation warning sticker on any bagged product packaging with a 5 inch opening or greater.
My order is taking forever to arrive, what do I do?
We are sorry to hear that. If your item has not arrived within a week of ordering, first please check the tracking info to see if there has been any recent updates.
If the tracking info is not showing any updates, or if shows it was delivered but never arrived, please contact us so that we may research the matter. Any item not received in a reasonable time will be reshipped or refunded.
Please keep mind of any event such as a pandemic, severe flu season, harsh weather conditions, or other serious matters that may cause a slow down in mail deliver.
Where do you ship from?
We ship from NJ, USA . We may sometimes ship from fulfilment centers throughout the country which should speed up the delivery time.
My item arrived damaged. What can I do?
We are sorry to hear that your item has arrived damaged. This is quite a rare event with these type of cases because of the tough material the product is made from, but it can still happen. Please contact us ASAP so that we may quickly send you a replacement.
The item received is different from what I had ordered. How do I go about receiving the correct one?
Contact us and let us know the item you received. We will quickly reship the correct case at our expense.
I accidentally ordered for the wrong phone What do I do?
We are sorry to hear that. Please contact us and let us know what phone you have. If we have the case in stock, we will do an exchange. If we don't we will issue a full refund once the item is returned.
What nonprofits do you donate to?
Our primary concern is with toxic waste buildup in our oceans and streams. Over time, this is causing untold damage to the marine ecosystem. An unsettling amount of fish, birds, turtles and other marine life have been known to ingest large amounts of plastic micro-particles, which is harmful to their health and those who consume them in their diet.
We are currently conducting research to determine which organizations we want to work with and how we would like to set up a system for company and customer contributions.
What we may do is integrate an optional donate button to our check out process. This way customers can choose how much they will want to give and perhaps this might be the most efficient way of doing this. We will keep you posted.
Will my case biodegrade while I am still using it?
No, your case will stay in great condition as long as you take care of it. It will only decompose under favorable conditions which include consistent high temperatures and moisture.
Just like with most other products, we would not recommend keeping it wet or damp for any duration of time. Excessive heat, moisture and sunlight can also wear down the case prematurely just like with other products
What materials are your cases made from?
Our cases are derived from plant based renewable substances, such as wood pulp rather than from petroleum based products.
Is this material as strong as traditional plastic?
Yes, we believe so. Bioplastics structurally behave nearly identical to traditional plastic.
How do I dispose of my Gemi-Case?
We hope you experienced plenty of good use from your case before it is time to retire it.
Please dispose of your case in a proper composting environment. If sent to an industrial composting facility, please check with the site to make sure they accept bioplastics.
If at home, please make sure your backyard compost is functioning well and also allow enough for it to compost. The time it takes to compost at home may vary from between 1 and 3 yrs depending on many factors such as moisture, heat, composition, and microorganisms, etc.
